2010 NFL Picks - Week 5

Putting them in earlier than the past 2 weeks. Gave them more thought. Time to open this up on Bob

Kansas City (+4.5) @ Houston
I by no means think the Chiefs are going to keep up their 3-1 pace towards a 12 win season but I am coming around on them as a potential winner of the AFC West. I am becoming a believer in their defense. They are allowing yards but they are not allowing points. And with Houston's receivers banged up I think Kansas City can get the quality road win that will have people start taking them seriously

**Baltimore @ New England (-2.5)**
Does anyone else doubt that New England's offense is going to make a statement this week and put up at least 30 against the #1 defense in the NFL? After all this talk about how effective New England's offense will be without Randy Moss, I don't see Bill Belichick looking wrong in this one. And even though the Pats have lost a little luster over the last year or so, Belichick is still the best and he had two weeks to prepare for Baltimore and New England hasn't lost a game after a bye since 2002. Granted, they played Buffalo four of those times but still...it helps my point.

Oakland (+6.5) @ San Francisco
It's funny. I'm going with Oakland for my 3rd week in a row. The last few times it was because I thought Bruce Gradkowski made them a friskier team. Now Jason Campbell is back to starting and I'm still taking them. One rule I use when betting games is if I look at a team getting points and I would not be surprised if they win the game, I take the points. And 6.5 is a lot of points.

Last Week: 2-1
Overall: 9-5-1
Pick of the Week: 3-2
