2010 NFL Picks - Week 5

I ruined my picks season last week. I had something special going too. Bummer.

These are going up late and in a rush this week which was also the recipe for last week's 0-3 debacle so be warned.

**Denver @ Baltimore (-7)**
Denver's offense is one dimensional and that one dimension Baltimore is leading the league in stopping. The Ravens D is only allowing 119 yards a game through the air per game. Denver is going to need to run to stay in this game and I don't see that happening.

San Diego @ Oakland (+6.5)
I think this my 3rd week in a row taking Oakland. Without McFadden playing I thought this line would be over a TD even though San Diego is on the road. Since it's not I feel like I'm being tricked. Gradkowski has made the Raiders a frisky team. The big concern here for me is that Phillip Rivers is awesome.

Chicago @ Carolina (-2.5)
Carolina is awful and I might be over analyzing here but I think Steve Smith not playing is going to be a blessing for Jimmy Clausen today. Without having a guy like Smith in the lineup, Clausen won't have to worry about forcing targets at him to keep him happen. Not unlike how Eli Manning seemed able to relax when Jeremy Shockey got injured a few years ago. I think he has his best game so far. Also Jay Cutler not playing helps too so the Bears might rely more on the run and Carolina is allowing only 3.3 yards a carry.

Last Week: 0-3
Overall: 7-4-1
Pick of the Week: 2-2
