2010 NCAA Football Picks - Week 5

My college picks and NFL picks are cancelling each other out. I feel real good about these this week...

Last Week's Picks

Virginia Tech at North Carolina State (+3.5)
I'm not back to trusting Virginia Tech yet. Russell Wilson is the best player on the field in this game it's a no-brainer to me to take NC State in this game getting points.

Florida at Alabama (-8)
When I first saw this game with a spread of more than a TD I immediately thought I would be taking Florida. Something must be warped in my memory because I assumed these teams played always played close games. This will be the 5th time they are playing since 2005 with the score differential in those games being 28,15,9 and 19. Alabama is at home, with the better team and 8 points would be the smallest difference between these two in years. I'm switching.

Texas at Oklahoma (-3)
I'm not going to lie. Me taking Oklahoma is a direct result of Texas losing to UCLA at home last week. I think little of UCLA so losing at home to them makes me think less of Texas. Oklahoma has mostly played close games against lesser opponents but those close games still resulted in wins and I think they are currently in better shape to take this year's Red River Rivalry.

Last Week: 1-2
Overall: 4-7-1
